Mr. Banales is a former Superior Court judge for Pima County. He graduated from the University of Arizona in 1972 and earned his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Arizona College of Law in 1975. During his time in college, he was placed on the Dean's List, earned the RFK Memorial Scholarship and the F & P Minority Scholarship. In addition to being a former Superior Court Judge, Mr. Banales was also a Deputy County Attorney in Pima County and is a former Instructor for Federal Law Enforcement Traning Center (FLETC) at the State Fire Marshal's Academy. He was also a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI). Mr. Banales became licensed to practice law in Arizona in 1975, in United States District Court in 1976, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in 1979.
