Ron Kilgard is a Phoenix native. He began law practice with Meyer, Hendricks, Victor, Osborn & Maledon, P.A. as a summer associate in 1978, became a permanent associate in 1979, left to clerk for the Hon. Mary M. Schroeder, U. S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, in 1979-80, and returned to the firm in 1980. He became a member of the firm, i.e., a partner, in 1984. He left Meyer, Hendricks to form a new firm, Dalton Gotto Samson & Kilgard, P.L.C., in March 1995. Most of the Dalton Gotto lawyers became an affiliate of Keller Rohrback L.L.P., in November 2002. His practice has always been civil litigation and appeals, primarily commercial and financial matters, representing plaintiffs and defendants in roughly equal proportions. For the last twelve years, he has been extensively involved in pension plan class action litigation, involving both ERISA and non-ERISA plans. In 2012 he was selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America (19th ed.) for ERISA practice.
